So I recently turned 30, and overall I am fine about it..
But it's interesting how certain things pop up that make me feel old.
- Hair seemingly leaving my head and relocating to my back.
- The way teenage kids look at me.
- Getting excited about washing my car.
In a way, a lot has happened in the last 10 years.. But not all the things I had hoped for.. in fact not many at all. I wonder where I will be in another decade..
I wonder if LJ will still be around... |

Woo!
I just got back from Casanova's.. I'm glad I went.. I was feeling tired and still a lil sick so I was contemplating not going.. But I got to see a lot of friends and the music was awesome.. I haven't danced that much since about 6 months ago hanging out with Tye in Portland (who by the way is coming to visit in a few days and I am so super duper excited to see her) I only had 3 beers but I don't drink so much these days so... I am still feeling a lil silly. everyone in the house is sleeping so I must be quiets. |

Holy crap, Dancer in the dark is a depressing movie.
I liked it though....
So, I am in Ohio visiting family for thanksgiving.. it's alright but I was not really wanting a trip.... only a couple weeks ago did I get in my new place and I am just so far behind on stuff...
Also I am on my neat little axim pocket pc and I could really use a bluetooth keyboard.... typing with a stylus gets old |

Today is the last birthday of my 20's
It's weird thinking back on all that has happened since i turned 20..
in some ways it is pretty neat to think on all that has changed.. but in other ways I feel like I let too much time pass by without doing enough.
Also, I had always hoped to be married before 30.
I guess I still have a year left to find a nice lady. |

So, lately I have been getting a bit of heartburn late at night after drinking large amounts of coffee.
I know the obvious solution would be to drink less coffee.. but come on.. that would be like asking me to have more sex... sure I would like it.. but it's not going to happen.
Anyways, I got some tums, and I kinda like them.. yeah they are chalky but they taste yummy and I keep finding myself snacking on them instead of using them for heartburn.
I decided to find out if I can overdose on Tums... apparently I can..
Symptoms of a Tums overdose:
Bone pain
Abdominal pain
Nausea and/or vomiting
Constipation
Diarrhea
Irregular heartbeat
Confusion
Depression
Coma
Huh.. doesn't sound too fun. Especially the constipated diarrhea. Guess I should stop eating them so much.
Alright.. time to get packing. flight is tomorrow morning! |

Lately it has been much cooler in the early mornings.
I love the cold crisp air, and wanting to stay under my covers just a little longer.
I love waking up when it is like this and making a big mug of coffee with whipped cream and cinnamon.
There is just something about it that makes starting the day awesome. Plus it sort of reminds me of my mornings in Kula |

I am stuck in my office too much.
So much that needs to be done... I want to go explore the city... I want to hike forest park.. I want to make it to the coast while the weather is still good.
I'm sure I'll get to. But right now it is frustrating to be sitting in this room so much.
However, tomorrow I am going to go hang out with Misty and Gwen for a bit.
It will be good.
I'll likely be going to Ohio for thanksgiving with my parents. I kinda want to hop around the country on my way back home to see friends in different places and such. My money situation will need to get better between now and then, though.
Every week I buy a lottery ticket in hopes of having my money problems solved. Some people critisize lotteries saying that it takes advantage of poor people. Fuck those people.. I am totally down for spending a dollar on a hope and a dream every week. |

Almost everyone says "Thank you" to the bus driver when they get off the bus.
It kinda amazes me. I've never really encountered that on a bus before.
It's nice.. but a little silly because you have to pay to get on the bus, and the bus driver is just doing his job. It's not like he is giving out a free ride. |

Tonight I went to Dante's and was a good time.
I saw awesome naked fire dancing, an incredible magician.
And I got to hang out with Eccobell.

She was allergic to something in there and was sneezing a lot.
She smiled at me and made small talk through her sneezes.

So it was a pretty nice day out today, not quite the temp I am looking for yet.. but at least the sun was out.
There is a little forest near my house with some trails through it and I took a walk with my little pocket camera (nice camera is still broke) and took a few pictures
Everything in Portland is covered in moss

So I am in the great northwest, my new home of Portland.
It's going to be a while before it really feels like home..
most of my stuff is still in boxes.. I don't have much furniture.. And I don't really know my way around yet.
So far I really like how cheap stuff is in the stores, and living with Anti and Phae is fun.
Now.. time to dig through craigslist for stuff I need. |
